Investible in partnership with Remarkable has curated an inspiring group of six start-ups seeking impact investment. These founders will complete a five-minute investor pitch to a room of investors and individuals passionate about how a business can be used to make the world a better place.
Some of Australia’s leading thinkers and pioneers in social investment will participate in an informative impact investor panel discussion.
The Impact Investment Group is a private investment and advisory B Corporation that focuses on investment that generate commercial returns while intentionally creating a positive social and environmental impact. Amanda joined IIG in 2014. She has 18 years’ experience in investment banking, venture capital, structured finance and executive management. Amanda runs the Sydney office of IIG and is the Fund Manager for IIG’s venture capital fund, the Giant Leap Fund, where she is responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence, transaction execution, investment management and fund management.
Pete has more than 10 years’ experience in the not for profit sector in youth, corporate engagement, social impact and innovation. He is currently the Founder of Cerebral Palsy Alliance’s Technology Accelerator called Remarkable, supporting new startups as they create technology to advance inclusion of people with disability. Peter started his career as a landscape architect and sees the potential for design and innovation to create positive impact.
The evening will be filmed by SBS as part of a new business series. The two startups out of the series will be pitching on the evening together with founders graduating from the Remarkable’s Accelerator, Investible/IBA Indigenous Accelerator and a number of society changing Investible portfolio companies.
