Spark Festival is a not for profit bringing together people, ideas & resources across the Australian innovation and startup ecosystem.

The first ever Spark Festival, held in Sydney in October 2016, was a huge success. A program of 100 events, across 57 venues, with more than 6000 attendees proved that our formula of inclusion and diversity is a good one, and we'll definitely be back in 2017!

We reach out to startups, small business, corporates, government, universities, students and investors to build a program of events and activities which reflects the values and needs of the entire entrepreneurship and innovation community.

Want to be involved in 2017? We'd love to hear from you.

What is Spark Festival?

Spark Festival is a series of events across 15 tracks or themes, reflecting the breadth and depth of startups and innovation in Australia. Meetups, mixers and socials. Hackathons, create-a-thons and workshops. Presentations, panels and pitching competitions. Events for children and families.

Whether you're an entrepreneur or a wantrepreneur, a student or an educator, already working in a startup, or curious to find out more, you'll find something on the Spark Festival program.

The next Spark Festival will be in Sydney on October 13 - 22, 2017. Early in the year we will be reaching out to the community and the program will evolve out of a series of meetings of our Track Leads. If you want to find out more, get in touch, and make sure you sign up to Sparks for upcoming events in the ecosystem.

Who Are We?

The Spark Festival program evolves out of a series of meetings of what we call the Track Leads, a collective of people, all so passionate about their sector that they have put up their hand and devoted their time to helping curate a series of events on their track or theme.

As a not for profit, Spark Festival is guided and supported by its board.

And keeping it all together is Program Director, Maxine Sherrin, the person to speak to if you'd like to get involved in 2017!
